Lost (and found) in Space – How to isolate and characterize immune cells

For your thesis you want to study tissue-specific immune function and your assays are about to start. This might be your opportunity to get hands-on experience! Here, we aim to introduce a strategy that allows immune cell isolation from tissue such as tumors and organs. Led by experienced scientists from Miltenyi Biotec, we will train PhD students by applying tissue dissociation (gentleMACS™) and immune cell separation (MACS®). The golden aim is to receive a pure immune population from tissue and this workshop will show you how to handle this. At the end of the day, you will be ready to enter the growing field of spatial immunity!

 13.30 – 15.00  Workshop #2

2001: A Space Odyssey – Imaging through space and time

Do you want multidimensional images of your samples? Would you like to image them in real-time? Are crispy clean images essential for your publications? Then, come and learn with Zeiss how to achieve the best and fastest results using a Confocal Laser Scanning microscope (CLSM)!

This workshop offers a lecture on the basis of CLSM imaging and a life domonstration  of the new LSM 900 with Airyscan 2 system.

For those eager to try some scanning with their own samples, a one-to-one hands-on will be offered with a specialist! (4-6 December)
